Summer 2023
The state of Blue Eden's hull was nothing short of dire. After tapping a breakwall in Kincardine, it revealed the nightmare hidden underneath the paint, flash rust. The rust had taken over, leaving the boat in desperate need of restoration before actual damage could be done. Without removing the layers of paint and epoxy, Kate and Jeff would not have known how far the rust went. As they found out, flash rust covered 85-95% of the surface. Together they ground the boat down on every inch of the hull, chemically neutralized the rust, and performed meticulous body work, including several coats of primer, epoxy, and paint. Now the 40-year-old hull has been transformed into a stunning masterpiece that will leave anyone in “awe”.

As the proud Captain of Blue Eden, I can confidently say that my love for this boat has only grown stronger over the past two years. From the moment I laid eyes on her, I knew she was “the one”. Whether I'm cruising along the coast or anchored in a secluded cove, Blue Eden never fails to impress with her sleek lines, comfortable accommodations, and reliable performance. I feel truly fortunate to have such a magnificent ship at my command, and I look forward to the many more years of adventure and enjoyment aboard this remarkable yacht.

Introducing Jeff, the ultimate first mate. His brilliance, cunning, and wit are unparalleled. In addition, he is a true master of multitasking and excels at everything he does. Kate was instantly smitten with his exceptional enthusiasm, artistic talent, hardworking nature, culinary skills, sailing prowess, fire-spinning, and boundless energy. When he's not busy working on the boat or sailing, Jeff can be found indulging in his hobbies, such as playing pinball, collecting antiques and retro toys, cooking gourmet meals, or playing with their bunnies. He is always eager to learn and experience new things, and his friendly nature makes him the life of any marina. Jeff and Kate share a special bond and enjoy each other's company, whether it's by the bonfire or playing board games.
